Hotel Clio, a Luxury Collection Hotel, Denver Cherry Creek

Marriott really has gone downhill. We had a two-night stay and once we checked in, we noticed the bathroom had not been cleaned since the previous guest. There were hairs all over the bathroom and coffee stains in the sink. I called the front desk and was offered free breakfast at Toro during our stay. We ate breakfast once at Toro and got charged full price. Then, after check out we were charged for mini bar items that we did not touch. I have called the hotel twice and they apologized and told me the charges would be refunded but it hasn't happened so now I have to open up a dispute case with my credit card. I wish we had stayed somewhere else and not had to deal with all the hassle of Hotel Clio. The rooms in this hotel are very basic Marriott rooms. The only advantage this hotel has is location. Otherwise, Courtyard and other entry level hotels have nicer, cleaner rooms. I've also had better service at every Marriott I've stayed at in Denver. Staff must not get treated very well by Marriott. They seemed quite miserable and disinterested in guest experience. Cancelling my Marriott credit card and switching to another loyalty program after this experience. Marriott just keeps getting worse.

Had a conference at this location. Beautiful hotel with excellent staff and amazing food. Our only issue was the temperature of the banquet and reception spaces. It was FREEZING for the whole conference and no matter how many times was brought it up, they said they were making it warmer and it never happened. This ended up really effecting the success of the meetings. Otherwise, everything was spectacular. Would highly recommend.

The hotel location, amenities, design and cleanliness are five out of five. What makes this prestige are the staff that go above and beyond. Thankful shout-outs to front desk staff Bill and _name?_(she retired from being an attorney) who both consistently go above and beyond to make myself, travel companions and employees (when we hold meetings in the conference rooms) feel very important and taken care of.

Loved the location and that’s about it. Our room was not cleaned very well and there were glass stains on the nightstand, something on the headboard (don’t want to know what), hairs in the bathroom and on the sheets and didn’t have a newly renovated feel. The location is awesome for walking around Cherry Creek which is why I’m giving 3 stars. The in house restaurant had great breakfast but slow service. Won’t stay here again due to cleanliness.
